Path through the graveyard

Steps up to church.

To access the church building there are two ways that are accessible for wheelchair users or for people who cannot climb steps:

  • the first is to arrive in the church hall carpark and walk along the path along the side of the church. As you turn left there is a ramp which will take you to the main entrance.

  • the second is to use the first entrance to the graveyard and follow the path round until you arrive at the main entrance

Once you are inside the church you can navigate around either to the lady chapel or up the nave to the choir stalls.

As you can see from the photograph on the left there are steps up into the chancel and up to the high altar. If you are attending Holy Communion it is only the third Sunday in the month when the High Altar is used and the priest will bring Communion to you if you let someone know in advance; either the welcomers or the church warden or deputy churchwarden. For those people who find steps difficult but want to go to the high altar for communion there will be people there to help asisst you up and down the few steps.

There are two disabled toilets at the back of church, one is more suitable for wheelchair users.

For those visiting church we are at present investigating installing new equipment to assist those who are hard of hearing and who have a digital hearing aid. Unfortunately our loop system is at present not in use.

If you have a disability and need asisstance please let someone know so we can help you.
