Jonathon Scott Concert

On 9th May we were privileged to welcome the world famous organist, Jonathan Scott to play our wonderful organ. He mesmerised us all with a dazzling performance of mostly well known orchestral classics, which Jonathan transcribed himself. He closed with the well known ‘Toccata’ by C. M. Widor.
The occasion was all the more enjoyable from the setting up a screen, enabling us all to watch him actually playing at the console. It was a truly memorable occasion.

The variety of music chosen by Jonathan was delightful and demonstrated the versatility of our organ.
The audience was in awe of Jonathan's dexterity, which they witnessed on the screen erected for the recital.
Not only was he playing the series of keyboards with his hands, controlling stops on the organ panels at the same time, but his feet were dancing along the floor pedals.
